On 25^th April 2018, Y6 visited the Crucial Crew event held at King’s Lynn Fire Station. The aim of the event was to teach the children about keeping themselves safe in a variety of different scenarios.

The children visited 9 different stations where they learnt about many aspects of safety, including first aid (the recovery position), gas safety, road safety, safety around the coast, staying safe online and how to prepare an emergency box. They also learnt about fire safety in the home and took part in a mock fire simulation where they had to consider what they would do in the event of a fire.

The children had an enjoyable afternoon and learnt some important messages about how to keep themselves safe.
